Starting Somewhere
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business, turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world; whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
A startup is always created in a scenario of uncertainties and few resources. It’s important for the entrepreneur to know if he’s following the right steps towards the startup growth. Successful startups are the result of initiatives that combined great insight, risk investments, determination and resilience. Nowadays, some of the biggest companies in the world started out as startups, with very little money and a lot of risks, and despite stumbling and mistakes, they have adapted and grown.
There are billions of businesses out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. You’re bound to go through three major phases: There’s an initial period of slow or no growth while you try to figure out what you’re doing. As you figure out how to make something that people want or need, and how to reach those people, there’s a period of rapid growth. Eventually, your successful startup will grow into a big company.
Growth however, will slow down in time, partly due to internal limitations and partly because the company is starting to bump up against the limits of the markets it serves. Don’t be discouraged; be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
